Texans at Chargers 2013 Monday Night Football: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming and more

Bob Levey

Here's all of the information you need to ensure that you are able to watch, or listen to, tonight's game between the San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans.

Predictably, after receiving their 24-hour extension from the NFL, the Chargers sold enough tickets to their 2013 regular season home opener to lift the local TV blackout. Now you and I and all of Southern California can watch the second half of ESPN Monday Night Football's double-header with the rest of the world. Here's all the info to do so:

GAME: Houston Texans at San Diego Chargers from Qualcomm Stadium

DATE: September 9, 2013

TIME: Kickoff is 7:20 p.m. PST

TELEVISION:

Nationally: ESPN will cover the game as part of their "Monday Night Football" opening week double-header, which means that we'll get the "alternate" announcing team of Chris Berman and Trent Dilfer.

In San Diego: KUSI-TV 9/51 will simulcast the ESPN broadcast for those without cable.

RADIO:

If you're not in Southern California, check here to find your local Dial Global radio station. They'll be carrying the game with announcers Kevin Harlan and Dan Fouts.

Tonight's night's game will be be heard on local airwaves on Rock 105.3 FM, XTRA Sports 1360 AM (San Diego) and AM 570 KLAC (Los Angeles & Orange County). As per usual, Josh Lewin will be covering the play-by-play duties and Hank Bauer will be doing Hank Bauer things.

The Chargers Radio Network also includes KATY 101.3 FM in Temecula and the Inland Empire; KNWH 1250 AM in the Yucca Valley; KNWZ 94.3 FM in Palm Springs; KAVL 610 AM in Palmdale and Lancaster; KSPA 1510 AM in Ontario, Inland Empire and Rancho Cucamonga; KRAK 910 AM in Victorville and Hesperia; ESPN Radio 1100 AM in Las Vegas; KXO 107.5 FM in the Imperial Valley and Yuma, Arizona, and Sirius Satellite Radio.

Online Streaming:

I believe that WatchESPN.com carries all Monday Night Football games, but you need to have one of their selected ISP providers and I think you may also need to have a subscription to ESPN's channel as part of your cable package. I don't know. Give it a shot if you're stuck somewhere that doesn't get ESPN on TV.
