A back that many thought would go much higher. He appears to be a complimentary piece to the position that has good vision, patience and can pass protect.

A center drafted for his leadership skills and his ability to make line calls and protect the passer.

This is an off-the-radar pick that won't get nearly the praise as the other picks. However, it meets a need and the Chargers must see something others don't.
