I didn't get a chance to watch the WHOLE thing, and I know it's only one game, but here's what I got out of it
1. Philip Rivers is still fire, 4/4, about 60 yards. He started right where he left off
2. The defense (in its current state) has some work to do. Even against Weeden and Randle, the D looked bad. Then again, we are also missing some starters.
3. We have 4 good RBs, and Grice isn't one of them: Are you surprised? I'm high on this Branden Oliver guy. Looks strong and fast. I was always high on Donald Brown too. He was underused in Indy. The running game is gonna be fun to watch this year.
4. Receivers are pretty decent- Obviously there's floyd and Allen. Inman looked pretty good against backups. Reese looks fast, really really fast, but also very small (Obvious yes, but I REALLY saw it last night). Also LaDarius had a nice first series.
5. The quarterbacks ALL looked good, proof that our new offensive coaches know what they're doing (for now)
6. No major injuries occurred, which is definitely a win.
Overall, a successful first game. Not perfect, but I was happy.
