What I Learned From Game 2 of The Preseason

As many say, it is only the preseason. And I guess it should be kept in mind that this performance was against the best team in the league in the toughest environment in the league. But alas, here are my observations (from watching the first half)

1. Philip Rivers makes a huge difference- Although they didn't score, the offense just looked much smoother that first drive than any of the following ones when Kellen Clemens took the field. He's a solid backup, but Rivers does make the team so much better.

2. We still can't rush the quarterback- Maybe it's just that Russell Wilson is... well... Russell Wilson, but the pass rush was not there. I feel like we've been missing that since like 2010...

3. We also still can't cover- That PI call on Flowers was bogus, but there was still way too many wide open guys out there.

4. The team still has ways to go- After a dominating performance last week, it's safe to say this game was a reality check for us. The Chargers improved, but there are still areas that need improvement, specifically the defense.
