I loved it!  I got showed around the city and fell in love with it.  San Diego is beautiful.  I spent a lot of time with Eddie Royal, who was my college teammate.  He sold me.  He sold me hard on the city, the fans and the team.  Once I left I knew it was the place for me.

The team cleared a spot for Flowers on the 90-man roster, informing cornerback Brandon Jones on Wednesday morning he was waived. Jones was a practice-squad candidate for a team suddenly deep at cornerback. He has a better chance to make a roster elsewhere.

He's a better tackler than any of San Diego's returning corners. Experienced both in the slot and outside, he can broaden John Pagano's chalk board. He's comfortable at left corner, dovetailing with Shareece Wright's preference to man the right side.
