Good news everyone! As has been reported on this website and many others, the Chargers have re-signed G Chad Rinehart to a 2-year deal (that allegedly is worth up to $6 million with only $2 million guaranteed), the latest move made by the franchise to sign and keep some of it's key contributors from the 2013 season. Retaining Rinehart comes just after re-signing special teams captain Darrell Stuckey (to an alleged 4-year deal) and after re-signing Donald Butler to an interestingly-structured 7 year deal worth up to $51 million dollars.
If you were to do an informal poll of Chargers fans at the end of the 2013 season concerning free agency, I believe many would agree that the highest priority re-signings would be the three men who were recently re-signed. That being said, there are many other Chargers who could be retained (especially with Rinehart and Butler's cap-friendly contracts).
For starters, there's the clutch receiver and special teamer Seyi Ajirotutu, the cornerback (who stepped in for FA bust Derek Cox) Richard Marshall, and offensive line talent Rich Orhnberger who, while also possessing a hilarious twitter handle, handily filled in for Nick Hardwick at center this past season. There are many more names worth mentioning, and I've included them on the poll below.
Therefore, who would you like to keep the most? Feel free to comment below as to why you want us to retain him.
