NFL COMBINE..Cornerbacks to look out for..

With the combine next week there are a few guys I'm eager too see preform in the all the drills and measures that the combine provides. There are a couple cornerbacks that we will be watching to see who is worth drafting and who isnt..
Im sure after the combine my opinion will change on a couple players.

In the first round I would love us to draft Justin Gilbert or Darqueze Dennard, but theres a good chance they both are gone by then. Moving up wouldn't be worth it for either player. If both corners are off the board maybe waiting to the 2nd round would be a better plan while taking the best player available at 25 as long as there is somewhat of a need.

I really like a couple corners in the second round and depending how they perform and measure up at the combine will determine which i like best. If Bradley Roby, Marcus Robertson or Stanley Jean-Baptiste are available I would pull the trigger on any of those 3. Baptiste is the tallest of the 3 and shined in the senior bowl, but its Roby that is the more polished of the 3. Robertson has good size and cover skills and would come in and compete for the starting job day 1 as would Roby. Baptiste is more of a project but has what you can't teach, a 6'2-214 pound frame.

I cant see Tom Telesco waiting this far to draft a corner-back given the dire need we have for one. There are a good amount of quality corners that will still be available in the 3 round. Peirre Desir is from a small school but showed he can play with elite talent during the senior bowl. With his size and physical play drafting him in the 3rd round maybe the steal of the draft, like Keenan Allen was last year. Keith McGill is another huge corner that could be an option in the 3rd round at 6'3-217 he is one of, if not the biggest corner in the draft.

There are a lot more corners that i will have my eyes on during the combine. I'm curious to see how Jason Verrett measures. I like his play but if he is only 5'9-175 like i suspect, then I would rather we go a different route in the first round. If he is there when we pick in the second round then I wouldn't mind the pick so much. It will be interesting to see who will standout and who will fall, but I'm sure my mind will change on some of these prospects we will be watching.
