What to do in the draft

What would you do in the draft? Best Player Available, or draft for need?

A little over a month ago, we were so far down, that we were in the chase for a top 6 pick in the draft. Now, we will be picking at the end of the 1st round.

So, with no real imposing CB’s available, and with Dix already drafted, what do we do in the first? What if Taylor Lewan drops to our draft spot? Should we draft him? He was a top 7 player last year. But, our LT is playing great. Why mess with what we have when it works? If Lewan is available, do you take him? Or do you draft a CB, just because any CB would be better than what we have?

Is it team dynamics? Or just getting the best talent?

Like many others, I am intrigued at McCullers as a NT. He might be there in the 2nd. He might not. That would certainly address a need.

What if Kelvin Benjamin is available in the1st? OR Lee? Do we take him? Knowing he could be a very good 2nd receiver to Allen. Our receiving corps is very good already. We don’t need a receiver. But, if one is available that is so talented, do we draft them? We know we will have Floyd back next year. Maybe even Alexander (I know he is made of glass, but how incredible to use him while healthy). Is receiver a need? But, if the player is there, would you take him?

Or do you just take Joyner from FSU? Very good athlete. Is he a CB?

Picking at the end of the 1st is like picking in the 2nd. There are lots of options. The first few picks of the draft, there is very little option. It is usually just best player. But, at this slot, what defines the best player?
