Chiefs fans visiting SD around Christmas time - Need Advice

I'm a Chiefs fan from Wisconsin and me and my (soon to be) wife will be visiting San Diego in late December of this year. I hope I can get some references from the community here on a few things.

1. We really want to attend the Chargers Chiefs game that week. Are there certain areas of the stadium that will be more friendly to (friendly) visiting fans? I don't mind getting heckled, etc, but I want it to be a good experience for the wife.

2. I've never been to San Diego, and we enjoy to explore through food and drink. Any big (or unknown) hitters we should put on our list?

Bonus Question: Will Rivers' arm recover enough to be a force this year and get back to throwing in between the safeties?
