San Diego Chargers Daily Links: December 20, 2013

Your daily dose of San Diego Chargers news & notes from around the web.

Between the Tackles - Matt Claassen
Danny Woodhead makes a curious appearance, especially considering teammate Ryan Mathews ranks below the NFL average. However, many of Woodhead’s snaps come when in shotgun formation and defenses are likely spread out more than usual, which could lead to the higher rate.

Undocumented Feature - Randall Munroe
This place is irrelevant. Ephemeral. One day it will be forgotten.

32 Observations, Week 15 - Nathan Jahnke
Wide Receiver Keenan Allen has just dropped three of his 66 catachable passes. His Drop Rate of 4.55 is fourth lowest in the league.

Between the Tackles, Part 2 - Matt Claassen
In this second part of his look at inside vs. outside runs, Matt Claassen focuses on the best and worst marks in yards gained after contact in each category.

The NFL All-Bargain Team - Bill Barnwell
After a mostly disappointing run in Philadelphia, it was a surprise when the Chargers brought in Dunlap and eventually revealed that they planned on suiting him up as their starting left tackle. Dunlap has missed time with concussions, but when he has played, he has actually been a viable option at the most important position on the offensive line. Part of that is the scheme he's in, but that's still impressive considering Dunlap's cap hit for this year is just $1.8 million

Bolts Offense Motivated for Rematch vs. Raiders - Ricky Henne
The Bolts turned the ball over a season-high five times.  One third of Philip Rivers’ interceptions on the season occurred on that night as the Raiders picked the quarterback off three times.  Addressing this week’s upcoming rematch against the Raiders, Head Coach Mike McCoy said the turnovers the offense committed the first time around were the main factor leading to their 27-17 loss - the largest margin of defeat in a game this season.
