With the really hard nosed coaches available being mostly defensive minded. And a true need of the team being not to make the "nice guy" coaching mistake they made with Norv. It may be time to talk Offensive Coordinators soon. My hope would be that Pagano stays as our young and talented defense both know and love him, not to mention he has gotten the job done thus far. That being said I am also aware that Cam Cameron got fired from Baltimore this season. But two thing that I feel are true and merit his return to the Bolts.
One.... The ravens don't have Rivers. Now I'm not one of those that think Rivers is the savior or anything like that, in fact I rather disliked Rivers in the beginning and was rather angry when they let Drew go. I simply felt nervous every time the ball was snapped and Rivers started to do his "ant in my pants" dance in the pocket looking like a terrified toddler. But he grew on me. I wish he was more mobile, but in the pocket with good protection hes got the accuracy and arm strength to control a game. Flacco can manage a game but never control it. Even with a threat like Boldin he does not excel, but rather maintains and leans on Rice to provide the Offense.
Two..... Cam was successful in San Diego, with some (not alot) of the same key players on our offense. With a rebuilt O-line there is no reason to believe he can't be again.
So maybe with Pagano calling the D, and Cameron calling the O...... and a no-nonsense head coach this team can be what it should have been for the last 2 years and what it was for years before that. And then some.
