De pain, de pain!
Ok, this is a very late idea for a regular Fan Post I have had overnight after seeing a couple of people ask about fantasy football matchups for Week 1. Apparently there was a game on Wednesday between somebody and somebody else, but really, who cared about that. It sucked. The season really starts...now, on Sunday, when it should.
In the absence of Steve Adler's fantasy football advice from last season, and no radio show podcast from Steve and John Gennaro (who did talk about his fantasies, but not usually about football), there is a gap in the market for a one stop shop for all your FF needs.
While I'm the creator of this first weekly post, the idea is for ALL willing members of the newly logo-ed Bolts From The Blue to weigh in with advice and opinion, and for anyone to leave their questions and sit/starts for the week. Maybe someone more qualified than me (which means anyone) can make the weekly post going forward and mediate discussion. I personally have zero expertise in this area (my first draft - well, not pretty), but I'm buckling to pressure and playing FF this season. Almost everyone who posts will have more knowledge than me, even though I'm much cuter than all of you. So let's make it a group discussion of the kind Gennaro probably doesn't like, as John is Against Freedom *.
So maybe with the assistance of the staff and wise commentators here, we can solve your weekly FF dilemmas. Feel free to boast about your SB Nation Pick 6 team, post questions, advice, or what you plan to eat during the games. It's a 1 am start for me, so I'm having a late supper of a lamb curry and rice I prepared earlier. Breakfast will be during the late game, and at this point I'm rolling with bacon, sausage and onion rolls to enjoy while Manning's head snaps off.
PS If you think a weekly thread is a good idea, rec this one or comment in your post. I would add a poll, but it seems to be borken.
* Just using an asterisk as a gimmick here. Nothing to read.
