Crean's pre-season power rankings post this afternoon really served to remind me why I'm glad polls or rankings don't have any impact on the NFL season the way they do in college. Other John's betting lines post for the Packers/Chargers preseason game reminded me that I'm glad I don't gamble. And finally the two combined to remind me how much it bugs me that people can't settle on whether it's pre-season or preseason.
Honestly, which is it? "NFL Preseason" will net you 1,890,000 search results, while "NFL Pre-season" only gets you 613,000. Damn. I was rooting for you, Crean, but it looks like it's preseason. Regardless of the spelling, I hate it and only tolerate it because crappy exhibition football is better than no football at all.
At least I'm not going to have to pay to see Thursday's game. Thank you to all of the suckers die hard fans that bought tickets so that I can watch the game in peace at home.
