Ryan Mathews Hosts 5K Run to Help Homeless Moms and Children - Ernie Padaon
This weekend is a fun Bolt to the Q 5K run that is hosted by the San Diego Chargers, Ryan Mathews and Kaiser Permanente. The run starts out at Chargers Park and finishes on the 50 yard line of Qualcomm Stadium. The race is SOLD OUT, but people are still invited to attend the festivities.

Fans will pick '12 inductee for team's hall of fame - Scott Bair
"We're turning power over to the fans," Spanos said. "We're excited about this concept and the ability to highlight the accomplishments of three players who meant a great deal to this franchise."

Ranking the AFC West: Tight end - Levi Damien
This is by far the best and deepest tight end unit in the AFC West. Gates leads it off as an All Pro tight end with former starters in McMichael and Rosario behind him. Green is young and...well, green, but there is some potential there.

Coach gives stronger Clary some credit - Michael Gehlken
The Chargers right tackle, whom his position coach says isn't appreciated enough by the outside, is back to pre-lockout strength. It's something Clary expects to build upon when veterans report to training camp next Wednesday.

Fantasy: QB Interception Rate Regression - Chad Parsons
Philip Rivers was obvious inclusion. He is a huge name in fantasy football that had a downright horrible first half of 2011. His interception rate was at or below the NFL average between 2008-2010, so he is a prime candidate to return to form in 2012 in this metric

18. Cam Thomas, DT, San Diego Chargers Thomas was generally hailed as a steal when the Chargers snagged him in the fifth round of the 2010 draft, but he played in just six games as a rookie and only had seven tackles (although two of those were sacks). Last year, we saw a bit more of what Thomas can do, with four sacks, three quarterback hits and 6.5 hurries, plus an 87 percent stop rate on run tackles. He has rare natural strength and can both get to the quarterback in a one-gap and stuff up the run in a two-gap.

NFL 25-and-under org rankings - Danny Tuccitto & Rivers McCown (Insider)
27. San Diego Chargers The Chargers have a lot of their value tied up in one player: RB Ryan Mathews, who looks poised to become a perennial top-5 fantasy football pick, as long as he can stay healthy. Wideout Vincent Brown is promising and should see more action this year.

1991 DVOA Ratings and Commentary - Aaron Schatz
San Diego was the opposite, somehow going 4-12 despite being an average team by DVOA with the league's lowest variance. The Chargers went a horrifying 2-8 in games decided by a touchdown or less.
