One more hole has been filled by the San Diego Chargers front office, who continue to do a very efficient job with free agency. Mario Henderson was last seen in the NFL in 2010, starting for the Oakland Raiders, but was cut before the 2011 season for showing up out of shape to training camp. He did not play in the NFL last season.
Henderson provides depth at backup Offensive Tackle that was needed once Brandyn Dombrowski moved inside to Guard. The entire offensive line, including backups, seems pretty much set at this point (barring any injury). At just 27 years old, Henderson could be seen as an eventual replacement for Jeromey Clary, but he'll need to impress the coaches this season before that's thought of as an option.
The team also agreed to one-year contractswith Long-Snapped Mike Windt, who did a very fine job last season, and Dombrowski (who will compete with Tyronne Green for the open Left Guard spot).
