The Chargers have certainly been active this week. Signing 9 free agent players to the team with more to come. Just to recap yesterday (day four), the Chargers made three moves: Signed Charlie Whitehurst as new backup QB, released current backup QB Billy Volek, and signed Strong Safety Atari Bigby.
Yesterday was another busy day, and it looks like the team isn't done yet. According to Kevin Acee, among several other moves they're trying to make happen, the Chargers are working to re-sign Antonio Garay and Jacob Hester.
RT @Khepples: Forsee any more chargers FA moves other than acquiring a RB2? >Yes.Among moves: they'll try 2 keep Hester, Garay, others.

Mike Tolbert continues to be unsigned and it seems the Chiefs have lost interest in him ever since they signed Peyton Hillis. The Chargers have offered Tolbert a new contract, but he seems to not be happy with it, and instead is talking with other teams who may be interested in him. Lately, the 49ers have stepped in as a potential suitor. The 49ers also will be meeting with FB Frank Summers next week.
San Francisco has been in mix for Mike Tolbert, too...The RB market is simply soft, slow-developing. Could be thing leaving door open in SD.

#Chargers FB Frank Summers working out with 49ers next week. Still wants to remain in SD, but McClain signing put a damper on that.
