Well, it looks like Eddie Royal is very nearly a San Diego Charger. It has been rumored since early yesterday that the former Bronco was a primary target of General Manager A.J. Smith. Kevin Acee is reporting (see tweet below) that Royal is taking a physical. While Royal hasn't been very effective as a wide receiver during his time in Denver, he is a dangerous return man and will likely inject life into what has been a truly unspectacular punt return unit in San Diego. He will also provide much needed depth at the wide receiver position behind the injury prone Malcom Floyd and Vincent Brown.

This move leaves the Chargers with only two glaring holes on offense in RB2 and TE2. Hopefully we'll see those positions settled sooner than later.
