The entire Bolts From The Blue staff is still over .500 now and they're hoping to stay that way in Week 10.
Last week, nobody that actually submitted their picks on time finished worse than 9-5 while failing to submit picks resulted in a 7-7 record. Thus, Crean, AvengingJM and Dana all lost at least two games in the standings and five to the week's leader, Orz and his 12-2 record.
The overall season leader, Jeff, managed the same record as his two closest competitors, myself and JKvandal, and so only lost any ground to Orz.
Our fearless leader, John Gennaro, continued his strong recovery from an ugly first few weeks of the season while our late joiners, AvengingJM and Dana, failed to get their picks in last week which put their battle for last place on hold. With AJM electing not to participate again this week, Dana looks poised to emerge from the cellar if things break right.
Those of us that actually made picks this week are evenly split on the Chargers/Bucs game, though the members choosing the Bucs have been more accurate so far this year. Take that for what you will.
The Colts, Giants, Dolphins, Patriots, Broncos, Seahawks, 49ers, Cowboys and Steelers were all unanimous picks among staff members that aren't being punished for turning their picks in late.This means that probably half of those teams will lose because of some sort of inverse wisdom of crowds logic.
Perhaps the most surprising result is 5 of 8 members taking the Saints to upset the unbeaten Falcons. Granted, the Falcons are one of the worst 8-0 teams ever and the Saints are better than your average losing record at the halfway point team, but this seems odd.
