San Diego Chargers: Atari Bigby Will Miss Rest of Season

Atari Bigby, who is known as an injury-prone player, will finish his first season with the San Diego Chargers on the Injured-Reserve list after playing in just 11 games.

Bigby has been a starting Strong Safety for four seasons, with 2012 being his fourth, and has no been able to play in more than 11 games since his first season as a starter. Many predicted that an injury would cut his season short and open up an opportunity for rookie SS Brandon Taylor to take over the spot permanently. It would appear that the starting opportunity will now go to Taylor for him to try and win the job for 2013.

A groin injury will keep veteran SS Atari Bigby out of the lineup for a month, which probably marks the end of his first season with the San Diego Chargers.
