Former Chargers WR Seyi Ajirotutu has been signed to take the place of WR/KR Richard Goodman, who was placed on Injured-Reserve.

Despite the fact that Richard Goodman's injury didn't look all that serious yesterday, he has been placed on the Injured-Reserve list with that's simply being called a "hamstring injury". One that will keep him out for 9 weeks, apparently. Chris Carr, being the one to return a kick after Goodman's injury yesterday, is expected to take over the kick return duties.

To fill his roster spot, the San Diego Chargers signed former Charger Seyi Ajirotutu. In 2010, "Tutu" caught 13 passes for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns for San Diego. The undrafted free agent was college dorm-mates with Ryan Mathews at Fresno State.

Ajirotutu was cut by the Chargers before the 2011 season, and managed just 1 catch for 4 yards in 14 games with the Carolina Panthers. He'll be asked to boost the Chargers passing offense, along with Danario Alexander who was signed last week.

Why doesn't the team just activate Vincent Brown, who is eligible to come off of the Injured-Reserve list? Well...
