Can it get any worse? Losing 34-0 would have been merciful. At least we all could have had a good, sarcastic laugh at the Chargers expense while understanding that the Bolts are just plain old terrible, but being ahead 24-0 at half time, then having the other team use us as a proverbial punching bag and when were down, kick sand in our collective faces is nothing less then humiliating. Well, actually it is. It's devastating! Is this the point where Deano realizes that there is something wrong? I know we've been over this countless times last year, but like a good case of Herpes, it just doesn't seem to go away, and that case of Herpes is AJ and Norv.
Lets face it, Norv is not a good coach. He's pretty good and will make somebody a great Offensive Coordinator, but as a head coach he is woefully lacking. The players seem to love him (which isn't necessarily a good thing), Deano likes him (good for Norv...bad for fans), but looking at his record since taking the helm at Bolt-land is pretty depressing. Norv has to go...end of story! AJ, on the other hand, is even worse....far worse. His 'in your face' attitude towards player negotiations have driven away players that could have saved this team (do the names Vincent Jackson and Darren Sproles ring a bell?), and his depressingly bad talent evaluations and picks in the draft and free agency have put us where we are now.......in the toilet. It's Deanos team, that's understood, but we, the fans, pay the bills, and I for one am tired of paying for a limo ride and ending up in the back of a Yugo.
Message to Dean Spanos: Your hearts in the right place buddy, and I appreciate that, but if you want to be the head guy, it's time to do head guy stuff. Fire AJ and Norv. Not at the end of the season, not next week, but now! Today! Before lunch! The team will struggle through the rest of the season, but they're going to do that anyway. Give somone else a try....after all, it can't get much worse.
