Next year... *sigh*
Another year the San Diego Chargers have missed the playoffs with one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Their were two teams that most teams in the NFL were scared to play against if they could make the playoffs... the eagles and the CHARGERS. The bolts did opposite of what most charger fans are used to this year... they started off fast with a 4-1 start, it wasnt pretty but previous years these would of been losses but they were wins this year. But then everything went downhill with 6 straight losses.
Turnovers, giving up big plays in the air and questionable play calling was the cause for this. Going into a monday night game against the jags on December 5th with a 4-7 record, it seemed like the season was over and Turner was coaching his last games of his tenure. But the chargers showed up as usual in december and played how we thought they could. Another win the following week against Buffalo and suddenly they were right back in the playoff race... slim chance but still a chance.
Needing to win out basically and hope for some losses by the broncos, the chargers could make the playoffs with a usual december winning streak. Baltimore comes into SD on a sunday night and what happens... Chargers play one of their best overall games ive ever seen from efficient play on offense to great D. Woah the chargers are now the team everyone doesnt want to play and find themselves with 2 games left on the road to make the playoffs. Christmas eve, a saturday game at detroit, all any charger fan wants when they wake up in the morning is a buffalo win against denver and a chargers win against the lions.
One of our wishes were granted as the bills blew out the Tebow led broncos, and our second wish should come true also right? chargers have won three in a row and coming off their best win of the year and the lions arent as good as the start of the seaosn with no running game and a horrible pass defense.. should be a win right? not a easy win but a game chargers could win. To sum up the game against the lions the chargers played no defense against megatron and decided to play with no emotion at all when u have a chance to make the playoffs... felt like dejavu for me at least cause this happened last year, chargers had a chance to make the playoffs by winning a week 16 match up against the bengals who had nothing to play for, what happened then? we lost... Back to 2011 and the chargers are not going to make the playoffs because of this loss and us fans have to find a new team in the playoffs to cheer for.. maybe the saints cause our xquarterback is breaking records to our xplaymaker that our current qb loved so much....
Hey but at least we ended the season by beating our rival team the raiders and making sure they dont make the playoffs and ending our season at 8-8... all that win did was screw the chargers over with giving Spanos hope to bring back Turner and Smith and dropping us to the 18th pic in the draft, but if they lost they would of had the 11th pick. The only positive of the offseason for the chargers was firing manusky.. he took the number 1 defense in the NFL and made them 19th overall. Maybe next year will make a superbowl... how bout we just try to win our division and make the playoffs first...

Um... but aren't their 8 teams still in the playoffs?
No love for the Giants or the Texans?? I personally will be rooting for the Texans.
In fact, I’ll go out on a limb. The Texans beat the Ravens, while the legend of Tebow grows as he and the Broncos beat the Pats. But then the Texans go to the Super Bowl by beating the T-bones in Houston.
true.. my bad
yah that is true but i dont want anyone rooting for the giants because of Eli manning thats the reason for that and yah texans could pull off the upset but i dont trust a rookie qb on the road against ed reed and company thats all.
I voted 49ers
But the truth is that I’ll be rooting either FOR the 49ers, or AGAINST the Broncos or Giants.

The Neoplatonist Tiebreaker System of NFL Hate
1: Raiders, and the Broncos today (Tebow), or in general the Broncos and Chiefs when they’ve got somebody really annoying like Larry Johnson or Jay Cutler.
2: Other AFCW teams: Broncos, Chiefs when I don’t have a reason to put them in with the Raiders.
3: Key Rivals: Patriots, Jets, Steelers
4: Lesser Rivals: Giants, Colts, Saints, Dolphins, Jaguars. (Titans and Vikings just fell off this list, as Fisher’s gone, Mawae retired and we kicked the Vikes’ butts to lessen the sting of that 2007 humiliation.)
5: Other AFC teams, besides the Titans and Texans (got friends from TN and Houston).
6: Most NFC teams.
7: The Titans (sans Fisher/Mawae), the Texans, and NFC teams I have some reason to like. I like the public nature of the Packers, I like the ‘49ers because they’re our non-rival California team. I like the Seahawks, because they’re like a long-lost enemy, and because I like Seattle. I like the Vikings’ uniforms. I’ve got a couple friends who are Eagles fans.

Oh, and of course, there is no 8 or 9, but 10 is the Chargers.

Kinda mad I didn't see my favorite level of NFL hate
You know, the one where you hate the teams that seemingly EVERYONE ELSE (including the bandwagon Charger fan) is rooting for….like the Steelers, Cowboys, Packers, etc.
It puts a smile on my face when a lowly team comes out of nowhere and just soundly beats them.

You gotta like Brees
Former Bolts Brees and Sproles make the Saints my fav pic, but you also have to like the Texans. Just like the Saints, they were were in the ‘doormat level’ for a long time so you have to feel good for them. I couldn’t care less about the rest.
