san diego chargers keep Norv Turner and AJ Smith
A Bad move for the chargers and Fans. The chargers must be waiting till they move back to LA to make wholesale changes. What happened to the former Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Bill Cowher or Fisher?
Two years without a playoff game . The owners are not in a win win mode . This is a sad day for the future of the Chargers. The list goes on and on. Remember Fred Dean the best defensive end in football he went to the 49ers to get his superbowl ring, then there's junior Seau to new England, Drew Breeze to New Orleans, Tomlinson to the Jets, Sproles to the Saints , Lights out folks.

I don't get it.
I’m cool with and can understand keeping Norv Turner, but the Owner himself said that the drafts and other personnel moves have been less then adequate – he also caveated it by saying the last two years of drafts have been promising…… I swear there has to be something else going on here.
So because of the lockout do we say that our DC gets another year too because he didn’t have the offseason to prep the players? Or do we go after another DC? Maybe a Mike Singletary? Somebody?
3-4 to 4-3?
How successful would we be? Could it be done quickly (like within a year) ? Could move DEs inside as DTs but do we have the LBs that can play end in a 4-3? It would be interesting.
We would keep our defensive scheme
Pagano is the current LB coach and should have had the job after RonRon left

History repeats itself when management ignores correcting past mistakes. The Chargers have had good players but let them go for reasons that were not made public. Probably money ( in the case of Fred Dean, Drew Breeze , Tomlinson and maybe junior Seau as well.)
Sounds as though sour grapes on the part of the Charger owners. By that I mean when they couldn’t negotiate a settlement with the city for the surrounding property around Qualcom stadium . they just said to heck with it and got stingy with the contracts of the players and coaches. you get what you pay for . Oh and then there was the guarantee with the city for unsold seats. What a joke that was. So there was no financiala incentive to put a better caliber of players or coaches on the field than what the owners cared to spend . sounds like the former padre ownership in some respects. I really think the chargers will be leaving San Diego as soon as they can land a new stadium and property to the likes of the Spanos ownership.
