Injury Report: Minnesota Vikings at San Diego Chargers
Questionable
Vincent Brown, WR (Hamstring)
Patrick Crayton, WR (Ankle)
Jonas Mouton, ILB (Shoulder)
Probable
Andrew Gachkar, ILB (Back)
The WR and LB depth, which were the two positions that had the biggest spotlight on them in the preseason and come roster cut time, already seems like it might be an issue. Each of these four guys are also expected to contribute on Special Teams, and that's where them missing the game could have the largest impact.
Questionable
Asher Allen, CB (Foot)
Probable
Chris Cook, CB (Hamstring)
Donovan McNabb, QB (Right Wrist)
Visanthe Shiancoe, TE (Hamstring)
Missed Practice for Non-Injury Related Issue
Phil Loadholt, OT
Letroy Guion, DT
I mentioned in my game preview that the Vikings don't have the most talent at CB, and now their #2 and #3 CBs will be limping into this game. That might be even worse than their starting QB having a sore throwing wrist or the offense missing it's most reliable red zone weapon in Shiancoe.

Acee pointed out
That Norv has an aversion to adding people to the injury list as doubtful, so his questionable is often another HC’s doubtful. In other words, don’t expect those 3 to play. Expect a fair dose of Bryan Walters.

I expect all those Questionable guys to be inactive, for sure
Bolts from the Blue - Destroying your opinions with facts.
Quick predict all 7 inactives!
Crayton, Brown, Mouton, Wright, Gachkar, Diggs, Gamble.

I thought I was gonna struggle with it
But then things started to fall in place.
It does seem kind of weird to have 5 active safeties though. And it only leaves 3 active ILBs. If only I knew better as to what Stuckey and Wallace’s roles on STs are.
Also, Stuckey and Wallace sounds like it should be… something.

I just can't see
how Diggs can be inactive if both Mouton and Gachkar are, unless if he’s gonna be one of those options, w/e the new rule says, you can have 46 players, but 45 are active and you only can use the 46th if injury happens?. Walter is going against a good LB group, so if he’s going to have a good day, then we’ll know how he’ll fare overall, dude got skills fingers crossed he stays healthy.
I forgot to mention
I’m happy to see that English, Philips, Garay are not on the list, does that mean, they were just resting them to keep them fresh because all along the Chargers knew they’re thin at LB and wanted Garay as fresh as possible when hey play Minnesota?
It probably just means
that all 3 practiced fully during the week. As far as the team being conservative with these 3 guys, thats most likely a good bet
Winning
I was just about to say
that I would actually pay money to see English play for once, but since I will be watching via the satellite TV ‘pay us lots of money’ package, the old cliche is useless as an expression of interest.
North Texas REALLY needs a Rubio's franchise.
