Is it a culmination of bad decisions ? A window closing ? A new version of early season struggles ? Is this a good team trying to find itself or a mediocre one with false expectations ?
After watching the first 3 games I find it harder to pinpoint where or who this team than at the beginning of the season . The good news is the favorable September schedule has worked in our favor to date and with Miami heading west good fortune may continue ( they historically stink out here ) but nothing can be taken for granted , clearly better play is required . The hope here is that as the season progresses the team demonstrates a higher proficiency and more resolute personality , we shall see .
Had someone suggested that Rivers would have more Ints than TDs at this point it would of been laughed at but yet here he stands after 3 games with a QB rating of 82.1 ( career 96.4 ) with the 2nd worst TD - INT ratio , a - 2 . This leads me to believe better performances should be forthcoming but I have concerns about Rivers knee , it looks to me as if he favors his right knee which is affecting his passing to some degree .
I finally came to the conclusion that even though we were in choke mode , Eric Weddle's INT to save the game has to be given it's due , he read the play and put himself in position to make a play on it , others should follow in suit . It seemed for a while as if the prophecy of KC win would be fulfilled , what a sour taste that would of been .
