Serious Business: 8/26 San Diego Chargers Links

Wallace making a push after UFL stint - Kevin Acee & Chris Jenkins
Wallace remains an uncertainty when it comes to the 53-man roster, but with veteran Quinton Teal injured most of camp, Wallace has put himself in position to make the team, taking safety reps with the second team and playing with the first unit on some special teams.

Sanders ready to fight for Chargers - Jay Paris
"Anybody would rather be in San Diego than L.A,'' Jerry Sanders said.

Martin building on early-season success - Scott Bair
This feel-good story has turned into a pretty good football player, as evidenced by the best training camp of his three-year career

Chargers Stadium Search Podcast with Matthew T. Hall - Craig Elsten
To try and make sense of all the latest developments, Dan McLellan joined me in studio for the latest edition of the 619Sports.Net Chargers podcast. We are joined on the phone by special guest Matthew T. Hall, who has been on the Chargers’ stadium beat for months, compiling the Chargers Stadium Search Week in Review posts for signonsandiego.com

Chargers Wide Receivers: The Race Is On For San Diego - Dan McLellan
Barring a major injury, three of the receiver spots are already accounted for. Malcom Floyd, Patrick Crayton, and Vincent Jackson are virtually locks to be the starters. This leaves nine others to compete for just a few spots. Typically a team carries only five receivers.

Eagles top list of teams loving this preseason – Chris Burke
San Diego Chargers: Their work in free agency was fine — they kept some key players (Mike Tolbert, Eric Weddle, Antwan Barnes) and added a piece here or there (Takeo Spikes, Bob Sanders). And they had a solid draft, selecting Corey Liuget for the D-line and rounding things out with two picks in both the second and third rounds.

Jesus. That Scott Bair about Martin article is littered with inaccuracies. 3rd round pick? Training Camp sled launch? Way to research.

University of Western Ontario

not Western Ontario College.

"My city's still breathing (but barely it's true) through buildings gone missing like teeth. The sidewalks are watching me think about you, all sparkled with broken glass. I'm back with scars to show. Back with the streets I know. They never take me anywhere but here. " John K Samson (Left and Leaving)

Who gets the remaining WR spots?

I this Seyi is a lock. I’d think Washington gets the 5th spot if he can prove he’s healthy given his good play last year. If not Washington, I’d take Goodman for his Special teams play. Haven’t seen much from Robinson, not sure if he makes the cut.

"Who do you think wiil the replacement for Jerry Jr. Cabarra or Frederson"

Robinson has done terribly

He shouldn’t even make the PS

6/10/2010 - Tra Thomas signs with the Chargers
8/21/2010 - Tra Thomas retires.

That was fast.
