Around SBN: Devils Beat Rangers, Head To Stanley Cup Finals

The big thing I learned here is that he tried to play through a broken foot last season. He then got surgery on it, but it didn't work. So, even when he came back he was still playing on a broken foot.

Poor or genius?

You’re right poor, however that can’t be changed. I’m just looking forward to seeming playing at full speed with the experience he now has.

I am the anti-analyst.

Not taking an OLB makes a tad bit more sense if the organization knew this a month ago

Look like they are putting all their eggs into the “Larry had a bad foot the last 2 seasons” basket…let’s hope they are right and that it is all healed up this season.

So, its May....

Scheduling conflict with surgeon? If this was broken all season, did he need to wait almost 4 months to get it operated on?

You should read the article

It says he had surgery in early March.

When are they gonna get better shoes?

I really can’t remember this many foot injuries a decade or two ago. The shoes these guys get now days must have zero support. These darn foot injuries take so long to re-hab, and recur so often. You’d think they’d have some better options for the players to choose. Especially for practice.

6 sacks for next season

or the injury is an excuse to hold the “bust” label.

Dielman on Rivers: "I've tried to get him to say s--- or f--- and all he'll ever do is say, 'Golly gee, I can't do that."
Next article: Scouting Greg Manusky, coming soon.

And shared sacks don't count

6/10/2010 - Tra Thomas signs with the Chargers
8/21/2010 - Tra Thomas retires.

That was fast.

let's seeeeee

If he was drafted ahead of Clay Mathews that means he must be better than Clay right? Right??? No, it appears not :( . While I would like to say that we need to expect 14 like Clay last season, I know that’s not realistic. I also think 6 seems a little low for a guy that has the kind of talent English has displayed at times. I think we could have a hopeful goal of 10 or more, but realistically it seems like 8 or 9, but definitely not 6. That’s too low.
