Injury Report: San Diego Chargers at Chicago Bears

SAN DIEGO CA - DECEMBER 5: Antonio Garay #71 of the San Diego Chargers looks on from the sidelines against the Oakland Raiders during their NFL game at Qualcomm Stadium on December 5 2010 in San Diego California. (Photo by Donald Miralle/Getty Images)

San Diego Chargers

Out
Luis Castillo, DE (Tibia)
Malcom Floyd, WR (Hip)
Marcus McNeill, LT (Neck)
Shaun Phillips, OLB (Foot)

Doubtful
Marcus Gilchrist, CB (Hamstring)
Tyronne Green, OG (Hand)
Louis Vasquez, OG (Ankle)

Questionable
Antonio Garay, DT (Hip)
Darrell Struckey, S (Thigh)

Probable
Antonio Gates, TE
Steve Gregory, SS (Thigh)
Takeo Spikes, ILB (Concussion)

Could this finally be the week where Norv Turner lists someone as "Doubtful" and they play in the game? Not likely, but the options at Guard are scary if Green doesn't play with his broken hand.

Star-divide

Chicago Bears

Out
Gabe Carimi, T (Knee)

Doubtful
D.J. Moore, CB (Ankle)

Probable
Lance Briggs, OLB (Neck)
Matt Forte, RB (Shoulder)
Devin Hester, WR/KR/PR (Ankle)
Julius Peppers, DE (Knee)
Matt Toeina, DT (Knee)

If that "Probable" list could be the "Out" list instead, the San Diego Chargers would have a great chance of coming back from Chicago with a win and a .500 record. However, with the Bears as healthy as they are and the Chargers as unhealthy as they are, this seems like one more advantage in Chicago's favor.

This is bad news...

It will be a borderline miracle if we could pull this off.

Well it sure looks like everthing is against us.

Health, trends, weather, matchups, location, the point spread.

If there was ever a week for Norv to pull out a St. Crispin’s Day style speech, this certainly would seem to be it.

Probably be a wek where the chargers play out of their minds

And continue to frustrate all of us fans as to why they can’t do it every week. (eg: packers game)

Bolts got this!

Mathews should be back to 100% Rivers has been ballin lately, the oline is getting some much needed gelling time. I see the offense doing their job sunday. This game will tilt based upon the performance of the chargers defense. All I can say is boy I miss the time when our dline consisted of olshansky, williams and castillo lol!

Biggest, meanest OLB available!

then another ILB in the second. I really like Simon outa Ohio State. If we could shore up the backers and then address the line through free agency we will be fine

ya I know lol. He’ll draft someone with “potential” not someone with proven talent

WOW

The deck is really stacked against us this week. With a paper thin O-line we could be in trouble, the play calling is gonna have to be pretty creative this week.

Perhaps we’ll see a few more short plays where Rivers gets the ball out of his hands quickly to avoid being hit too much, and maybe more plays with RBs or TEs in protection or shotgun formation.

The key to this game will be how can we establish the running game, if we can then we should have some success.

A few weeks back Floyd played when listed as Doubtful.
Could this finally be the week where Norv Turner lists someone as “Doubtful” and they play in the game?

But that’s probably just an anomaly brought on by the fact he is always presupposed to be Doubtful.
