Dang. I just can't do it anymore. I have called this guy all the names under the sun, and in reality just been an all around hater on Tebow. Why? Well that's hard to say, but I'd like to think it's the Broncos. What I mean is, I am a Chargers fan. By default I hate on everything KC, Oakland, and Denver. It's just the way it is, and I highly doubt the majority of these teams fans could claim differently. We rep our squad, just the same as they do.

Part of your team involves the 31 others. 15 in the conference, of which you become somewhat neighborly with. A few you do not know much about. All you know is your house is better then theirs and that the wife only leaves to hit up PF Changs. Perhaps the majority you could care less if they see you getting home from work in your freshly washed car. A few of these neighbors within the conference you just want to see lose, you keep your fingers crossed your dog squads on their lawn so you can pretend to pick it up. You tell few people of course, I mean these neighbors do not know you deep down. So why the animosity?
Divisional opponents know though. In fact they expect you not to pick up the pile even with your pockets stuffed full of grocery bags. It would be expected that you hammer copper nails into their crappy tree blocking your view, or perhaps spraying their dog with the hose over the fence. If you didnt it would be weird right? For some reason with me, Tebow has attracted more of this hate then standard divisional John Doe and his fat wife next door.
Is it his religion? If it is then perhaps I have some real soul searching to do. I thought my favorite athletes were the ones who were underdogs perhaps, or unorthodox, maybe good off the field too. Most of all I thought the guys who really loved the game were the real deal. What's apparent to me is everything I like about sports Tebow has, the only thing he doesnt posses is ability to shut off his moral values and the religion to which they come from. Am I rooting for him? Absolutely not. I hope he fails in the NFL and that the Chargers destroy him every time he steps onto the field. What I will concede is that even though it would be impossible for me to stop hating on this guy (guess I am not done), all my hate from this point forward will be unwarranted at best and misplaced in the least.
