Injury Report: San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Out
Luis Castillo, DE (Tibia)
Kris Dielman, LG (Concussion)
Shaun Phillips, OLB (Foot)
Doubtful
Mike Tolbert, RB (Hamstring, Hand)
Questionable
Malcom Floyd, WR (Hip)
Darrell Stuckey, S (Groin)
Probable
Antonio Gates, TE (Foot)
Jacob Hester, RB (Foot)
Ryan Mathews, RB (Thumb)
Marcus McNeill, LT (Neck)
Scott Mruczkowski, C/G (Neck)
To recap, the Chargers have weaknesses on the left side of the line, the running game, the passing game and the pass rush due to injury.
After the break, we'll look at the Chiefs injury report.
Probable
Kendrick Lewis, S (Ankle)
No, this isn't unfinished. The Chargers are beaten to hell and have to fly to Kansas City a week after flying cross-country to play the Jets. The Chiefs, after losing three of their best and youngest stars early in the season, are now incredibly healthy with the players that are left.
So, in addition to the Chiefs having one of the best home-field advantages in football, Kansas City will be heading into this game much healthier and with more momentum than the Bolts.

It's OK everyone.
Rivers is playing.
Dielman on Rivers: "I've tried to get him to say s--- or f--- and all he'll ever do is say, 'Golly gee, I can't do that."

Which Rivers?
The current Rivers doen’t give me a whole lot of confidence. he has played poorly so far this year. I just have had this gut feeling the last several games that he will throw a pick and give the game away. Hope we see the “old” rivers insted of the “new” rivers. And, our defense couldn’t stop a drunk protitute from picking up a first down. They need to shut down kc’ running game.
Drunk Prostitute > Adrian Peterson?
Strange…

They get the runs
from drinking cheap wine.

Except for missing three of their best young stars for the season
the chiefs are incredibly healthy.
They were last year too
One of the healthiest in the league. One of the reasons that they were a surprise team last year.

I was being a little bit of a smart ass about it.
I actually think the Chiefs have been hurt by injuries this season as much or more than the Chargers have. Every team has injuries and bad calls, the good teams overcome them.
OLB looking pretty, pretty thin
Did I miss a signing? We really running LaBoy and Barnes all game?
And our secret weapon Gamble

Well as Norv said
“A lot of guys started as a Gamble.” Maybe he will impress, although I suspect he might have been able to crack the line-up by now if he was great.

Did Norv say it like that?
Who says Norv doesn’t have a sense of humor?

I guess technically it was
“There were a number of guys who were Gamble when they got here."

Allegedly the Dolphins put Wake up for trade
and the Chargers did nothing. I don’t understand why they didn’t try to make a trade for someone who can play OLB this year. Maybe next draft they will get someone who can stay on the field. It is Shaun Phillips and a bunch of other guys.
Trade deadline ended the day Palmer was signed
At that time there was a rosy outlook for English.

Fair enough
I meant that he had just come off of his 2 sack game against the Dolphins, plus the organization still had hope for him.

For the record
I think it is possible that they still might, but I’m pretty sure most of the fans have given up on him (Including me).

They must have been asking for a lot for nobody to make a deal for him.

It's a good thing Vasquez has been coming along this year
But I do not have any faith in anyone outside of Mruczkowski and even that is shaky. For the first time this season, I think that Rivers will get into a rhythm and do well this day. Here’s to crossing our fingers and hoping for the best.
They're pretty high on Tyronne Green aren't they?

Yeah,
And so far I haven’t seen any justification for it in games. I don’t mean to say that he is terrible, but I just don’t have any faith in him performing very well. Hopefully he will prove that feeling false when he does go in (even if it is for a Jumbo play or something) and I can be just as high on him as the Coaches are.

So is Mooch starting at LG tonight?
For some reason I thought it was supposed to be Green.

According to Acee
Greene will start at LG tonight. Dombrowski better be ready too, in case MM can’t finish. I think they signed that T Schilling this week for depth in case he is needed. Mooch got hurt last week as well and I don’t think he is 100%.
Thx
That’s what I thought.

ah good
I was trying to find the line-up article. This just saved me some time. Thanks

Tolbert is inactive tonight.
The big question is, can Matthews stay out of the trainers room for a whole game. If not, we will have Hester and Brinkley? Ouch. Too bad the moved Todman around last week, he could have helped tonight.
heard on the darren smith show that M80 is playing
then he will make a spectacular catch and be questionable to return the rest of the game
