Shaun Phillips is Headed to the Pro Bowl

OLB Shaun Phillips will be joining QB Philip Rivers and RG Kris Dielman in Hawaii this week to participate in the 2011 Pro Bowl game next Sunday.

Phillips continued his recent trend of getting a little bit better every season, and had a season that was certainly worthy of recognition by his peers and worthy of the bonus he'll get for making the Pro Bowl this season.

Shaun will share OLB responsibilities with former CFL superstar Cameron Wake and Terrell Suggs. He takes the spot of Steelers OLB James Harrison, who will be busy preparing for the Super Bowl this week.

NFL.com...

makes no mention of SP…instead, it names the Chiefs Tamba Hali as Harrison’s replacement…..

Is SP really going?

Do or do not. There is no try.

Weird

that it doesn’t show up on the NFL website…but like you said, the Chargers even say he is going. Way to go SP! Well deserved….

His future

Let’s hope he matures and becomes the leader we need on the defensive side on the ball. Time to stop partying.

I'd say he's there already

This season was his best and he’s clearly the man on defense now.

I was

all over him after that Darren Smith interview and the head-butt in the Jets game, but this is well-deserved. I like the quiet, focused SP.

he shut his mouth, and put in the work.

SP to the Pro bowl cool! But what I really wanna know...

What kind of cake is SP gonna get to celebrate his Pro Bowl appearance?

Because damn it! If he gets a Yves Saint Laurent pineapple upside down cake that is gonna piss me off.
