Norv Turner has hired Jason Michael, who comes from San Francisco like Greg Manusky (Michael was the QB Coach), to replace newly-anointed Offensive Coordinator of the Carolina Panthers Rob Chudzinski as the TE Coach for the San Diego Chargers.
Michael seems like he will fit perfectly into Chud's shoes as TE Coach and general "offensive helper". He has held the title as "Offensive Quality Control Coach" with the Jets (under Brian Schottenheimer) and also with the Raiders under Norv Turner. And then there's this little nugget of information:
A collegiate athlete, Michael played quarterback for Western Kentucky from 1999 to 2002, where he threw for more than 1,600 yards and rushed for over 600 yards as a senior. He was named the team’s MVP that season after leading the Hilltoppers to the NCAA Division I-AA National Championship.
