Extremely unlikely, but this article still had me drooling all over myself...

Well whether it's gonna happen or not
it seems the The Chargers are considering it.
The peanut gallery has spoken!!!
I can't see Cason moving to FS
doesn’t that put him in a nickel type position on the field? and didn’t he already prove that he stinks at that?
Jammer makes more sense to move to safety if he is ready. He has made his money and if he wants to, he can really extend his career at safety.
I also wonder if Asomugha’s style fits the Charger’s Defense. There are lots of reasons why Cromartie is no longer a Charger and one of them was that he didn’t like the non-agressive style of man on man we played. I wonder if Asomugha would chaffe in the same way?

Yeah
That made more sense to me too, perfect sense actually, although Cason is a pretty good hitter and doesn’t shy away from tackling so I can see him making a great safety. Of course if our new DC likes man coverage, it might be a better fit.

I like the point that Darren Smith made on the radio...
Why move Cason to his 3rd position in 3 years. The future is Cason and Jammer is a captain willing to move. He would fill our weakness at SS. Think of how good the backfield would be.
Oh internet, what a wicked web you weave.
This would require the anti-AJ
Aso is a very good corner, but he’s also nearly 30. Do we want to spend the type of dough it would take to nab a guy nearly the same age as Jammer or look for the younger guy to groom behind Jammer?
Given the likelihood of it happening, I’d go with the second choice. Or we can wait & hope for the best like we did with finding Jamal’s replacement.
