Larry English Has Foot Surgery, Brandon Lang Fans Elated
Kevin Acee just posted this onimous tweet:
English has foot surgery (won't go on IR), Quinton Teal back on roster, new long snapper, and I think more moves to come -- ka
The hits just keep on coming to the linebacking group. Teal was obviously signed to help on Special Teams, but losing English almost nullifies that move.
The fact that KA had to point out that English wasn't place on IR leads me to believe it will be longer than 3-4 weeks out for the 2009 first-round pick.

English hasn't exactly been a game changer
and Lang proved less in the preseason than he didn’t prove. If that makes sense. I wonder if AJ Smith wants a whole bunch of draft picks just so he can take 3 Corners and 3 DE/OLB’s in the first 4 rounds of the draft next year. It sure seems like it’s bound to happen.

Was wondering about the new long snapper...
It is believed the Chargers have also brought in their fourth long snapper of the season, though it is not known who they have signed. Ryan Neill injured his knee Sunday.
AJ, you big-headed jerk, bring back Binn!

it was AJ's ego...
that tore his hamstring.
I think we’ve found a new meme: AJ’s Ego.

No one will want to sign a contract with the team
knowing there seems to be some sort of curse going around to Long Snappers.

That's a joke
I’ll take a football related injury in exchange for $400,000 (or whatever the prorated veteran minimum is).

I'll bet there are a bunch
of long snappers out on the street trying to sell insurance right now who would take an injury for a few game checks.
English is just as inneffective as he is undersized
so I’m not feeling to bad about him being gone.
Unbelievable that yet another long snapper has been injured.
Nate Kaeding needs Foot Surgery
and have a doctor stick some lead (or other non-poisonous metal) into his foot so he can get some Touchbacks.

or hire a...
Soccer player, do you see how far they can freaking kick? They can run too, and aren’t afraid of contact. Let’s have the first mexican kicker in the league!

Woah...
Thanks for that… he’s from my dad’s hometown, Guadalajara, AND he’s a local coach in Clairemont. Apparently.

I played football in Texas for a couple years in HS and I absolutely loved watching him come down the field looking for people to hit.
A nice little read, yea he is from Guadalajara and went to UCLA…if I was to pick an all time kick off specialist, he would be my go to guy. Darren Bennet would be for my punter, nothing better for a hitter and punter combined.
werent all the zendeja's brothers mexican?

I believe there was once a very good FG kicker with half a foot.

I remember that guy...
Tom Dempsey – Saints i think. 63 yard record. That was when kicking with the toe was the norm, but lucky for him he didn’t have any…. I’m sayin if a guy had a metal leg/foot, would that be cheating?

Wow, shit is really starting to hit the fan injury-wise
That’s, what, 6 starters out right now: Binn, Cooper, Merriman, English (well…not really a starter, but close enough), Vasquez, Mathews. Dombo is banged up…ugh.
I have a hard time believing
Mathews won’t be back for game 4.

If he has needed foot surgery, maybe that’s why he has been less productive.

Possibly
There’s a lot more on the way. They’re going to need to add someone to the roster to fill Green’s spot as the backup OG/OT while Vasquez is out.

Well, apparently...
a few starters are going back on special teams. So hopefully we’ll avoid more injuries to get us to the playoffs, the record I no longer care about, at least we are usually back to full strength by then. We’ll have to take it one game at a time. As much as injuries suck for us, it sucks more for the players I reckon, knowing they could help something, but can’t.
I am the anti-analyst.
Hmmm... they play the DL off the line in Canada, right?
Vaughn Martin, 320-lb Sam on running plays?

They play with a one yard neutral zone
But they play in 3 and 4 point stances, not upright and off the line like a 3-4 LB would.

Dear Mr. Brandon Lang,
Please have a minimum of 17 sacks this coming game against the Arizona Cardinals.
