Around SBN: Events Cause Mariners To Lose To Rangers

Simply put, the San Diego Chargers need to fire Norv Turner. I have never been a fan of Turner and was always against the firing of Marty Schottenheimer. Marty was never able to lead the Chargers to a playoff win, unlike Turner, but he was a hard nosed coach that made sure his players were ready to play. Under Schottenheimer, LaDainian Tomlinson was a beast and probably the best running back in the league, while Norv Turner’s scheme helped in the decline of this great player. The one great thing that has come out of Turner coaching the Chargers is the growth of Philip Rivers. Turner is an offensive guru and he deserves a lot of credit for the development of Rivers. Even with this fact, the Chargers can not win the Super Bowl under Norv Turner.

I estimate approximately 20 minutes until this gets deleted.

Maybe longer, if John is asleep.

Good grief

Really? Just one game in after a 13-3 season?

I love the (paraphrasing) "Norv killed LT's career."

Marty

Everybody hated Marty when he was here. Now you want him back. Why? So he can continue to lose every playoff game he coaches. Remember that New England game. Ready to play my a@#. They were not focused. They were planning a super bowl party before they ever played that game. A game that was full of undisiplined mistakes. We could have had Rex Ryan. Look at the Jets, undisiplined idiots. LT turned into a cry baby. Jackson/McNeal are greedy (they are not elite players). I am just thankful none of you idiots are coaching the Chargers. That was for the “I am an expert and I know best”.

Flag. Sign-On San Diego type comment.

I am always torn between patiently refuting such obviously illogical commentary and keeping silent, since the commenter is likely just being polemic and couldn’t really believe the drivel that they are writing. In this case, I guess I did neither.

PR17 would pass for 16,000 yards per season in his offense. its too bad when he was here last time we only had Craig (deer in the headlights) Whelihan.
im being facetious(or am i) please stop with the norv bashing, he has proven he deserves to stay!
