So the fact that Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil suffered a likely season-ending torn pectoral muscle not long after inking a six-year deal that guarantees him $43 million means that he'll get the $43 million, right? Not necessarily. - Seeing Red | Chargers.com

- Catching on is no tall order for Reed | North County Times
The Chargers like tall, powerful leapers catching passes, receivers who can win one-on-one battles and pluck seemingly uncatchable passes out of the sky. Countless big plays, touchdowns and third-down conversions were completed in an offensive style that rewards physical dominance. - Davis "off to great start" | Chargers.com

Don Coryell was an influential former coach of the Chargers and Cardinals; some of his vertical passing systems changed the game. Should Coryell be in Canton? No, KC Joyner says, not without including another great innovator who preceded him. - Houston deal will interest Vincent Jackson | ESPN
Expect Jackson’s camp to reevaluate after the Johnson deal. The market is what it is, and if it changes, Jackson’s camp could change its desires as well. Jackson’s camp believes he’s perhaps the most dangerous receiver in the NFL, and they want him paid accordingly. - Mailbag: Stop bashing the Raiders | Yahoo! Sports

He dropped one on the grass. Someone, who I can only assume is his some, tried to save it my kicking it and then found it in the grass.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

Gotta like the Johnson deal...
lower than Marshall’s, and he’s a far better receiver… imho, Jackson is still behind Johnson, thus his contract should be targeted below his…

Jackson is no Andre Johnson
And he shouldn’t kid himself that he is.
The Brandon Marshall contract only served to blow more smoke up his already over-inflated arse.
Give it up, folks. VJ won’t wear a Charger uni in game time again.

Jackson is no Andre Johnson
That’s debateable. Johnson may have more yards since Jackson’s been a starter but he’s also targeted a lot more than Jackson is.
Johnson 276 receptions since 2007.
Jackson 168 receptions since 2007.
Jackson has a higher average than Johnson since he’s been a starter so some would say Jackson is actually the better of the two based on that fact alone.
Jackson 17 YPC since 2007.
Johnson 14.4 YPC since 2007.
Personally, I think they’re both about equal in terms of talent.

Johnson : Jackson :: Rivers : Schaub
Johnson is a stud, who makes his respectable QB look even better.
Jackson is a respectable #1 WR, made to look even better by his stud QB.

This argument could be made with TEs as well.

Are you saying that
Gates is a respectable TE made to look even better by his stud QB? Gates is a stud TE no matter how you slice it.
I am sure that I am not understanding you correctly, but it looks like your saying that Owen Daniels is a stud and Gates is respectable.
I think he's saying Gates makes Jackson better, as Johnson does for Daniels.
Yes, but all I can think as I say that is, “didn’t Jackson recover a Gates fumble last year?”

Jackson to Jacksonville, what I say.
They need WRs and can’t build their own. They take 2nd rounders in the 1st. Why not? Jackson for 1st, everybody wins. The Jags get the studly receiver who will sell tix and draw effort off MJDrew, for a little more than what the 1st rounder would have cost, while the Bolts get a 1st in 2011 instead of 6 games, a postseason (hopefully) and a 2012 comp 3rd.
