Chargers Preseason: 2010 Depth Chart (Preseason Week 4)
The Chargers have released an updated depth chart, so here it is.
Differences from last week's Depth Chart:
- I've indicated those who have been cut by striking their names out.
- The team now knows how to spell "Legedu"
- The team also has now learned that Vaughn Martin's number is #92, not #72.
- Billy Latsko replaces Richie Brockel for the 3rd-string Fullback spot. Brockel slides to 4th.
- Cort Johnson (Punter) has been cut
- Billy Latsko is no longer listed as the 3rd holder, he's moved to be the 3rd long-snapper

he hasn’t made one mistake in a preseason game this year!

It'll be very interesting to see who sticks on the D-line.
also who sticks at WR in the 4th and (maybe) 5th spot
Ditto
Some one might want to inform AJ, Tra retired and we need to sign McNeil.

I’m a little surprised that Stucky is ahead of Gregory
If I agreed with you, we would both be wrong

I'm a lot surprised
Of course they also have Tra Thomas on there. Stuckey hasn’t shown much so far, and hasn’t played with the first team as far as I know.
"Were such things here as we do speak about?
Or have we eaten on the insane root
That takes the reason prisoner?"
He's not anymore
I had used the wrong week’s depth chart as a basis and updated only the changes from week 3 to week 4. So the changes from Week 2 to Week 3 weren’t reflected on the original chart I posted.
It’s all correct now.
"Don’t get nervous. Norv is in charge."
Do you guys think any of the backup guards make the team?
I haven’t heard anything positive of any of these guys
I would think the team would be looking for a waiver wire tackle
So they could call Green the backup OG
IMO
It's hard to say
A bunch of rookies that haven’t impressed. But we do seem to need another lineman. Green can probably back up the whole line but is focused on tackle, and Mooch can handle the inside.

Where did this chart come from?
I’ve been unable to find it.

Directly from the Chargers
They email a release to the media each week, and the depth chart is included.

I can’t wait to see Donald Butler next year… I’m getting tired of Stephen Cooper

Same here
But be careful where you say that. Kool-aid can stain your clothes. :-P

Remind me not to criticize Shaun Phillips.

The lack of depth at OL
is pretty frightening. I hope AJ Smith knows what the hell he’s doing. Dombroski needs to hold up. He didn’t look nearly as good against the Saints D as I would have liked. Hopefully the running game picks up this year and hides the fact that MM is out. We’re going to need to take our shots down the field off of play action more than in the past.
is it worse than last year?
Last year we had MM, Dielman, Harwick, Vasquez, and Clary, with Mooch and Dombro providing quality depth and Green playing the role of the backup we hoped would never play.
This year Green and Mooch are coming off the bench confidently and we will have one or two others by KC who we hope never make it off the bench. The over all talent level is down with MM gone, but depth-wise we are in the same boat. If anything, I think confidence in Mooch and Green as backups is higher this year than confidence in Mooch and Dombro was last year.
