Of all the debatable topics with the Bolts this preseason, perhaps the one that fans would rather not address is the most pressing issue of all. I know it was Stuckey's 1st game...
so I won’t be too negative, but he looked a little overwhelmed out there.
I don't want to say it, but I'll be honest...
I MISS VINCENT JACKSON. There, I said it, I hope he’s happy with what he made me do.
Sure it’s exciting to have lots of competition, potencial and have everyone be a threat (like in the Saints offense), but VJ is a good player and sometimes I could not deny he would’ve make a real difference by being on the field.
I don't know that the O could have been much better
A rare poor decision from Rivers and an unlucky fumble by Sproles are all that held us back. I’ll grant Naanee could have fought for that interception, and I’m sure the coaches will point it out on film, but that INT was on Rivers, and he’s not somebody I worry about. Naanee and Floyd both had good enough games against the first string Dallas D, and if anything I’m more comfortable than I was before the game with what we have at WR. I’m now officially on the Ajirotutu bandwagon. Conversely, I’m not interested in seeing Marcus Mason on the field at RB any longer.
The first team O looked great. The second team looked bad, with a lot of errant throws from Volek. My view of the game was an awful Cowboys broadcast that kept cutting away, so I can’t say if he was being pressured. I’ll assume so. Third team was awful, but what else can you expect with scrub linemen. I would like to see Crompton get a chance with some real players around him. I think he’ll be good.

That takes the reason prisoner?"
He caught a couple balls
And after watching on a real TV, that INT play could have been a TD if Rivers hadn’t underthrown it. Newman was in front of Naanee, and Rivers just threw it to him. He usually throws a jump ball there, but it was too low. But I’ll agree he didn’t do much.

M80 and Naanee looked OK to me
CBD’s opportunities all appeared to be out of recheach. Although he could have raised his hands up and jumped.

Not as big a difference as Rivers would have made. It wasn’t the first string that lost last night’s game.
