Ryan Mathews

What should we refer to Ryan as because his name is kinda long and a bit of a mouthful. What should Ryan Mathews nickname be? Suggestions after the jump.

Star-divide

1. R-Mat

2. Matt-attack.

3. Just RM (but thats kinda Lt-ish soo i dont love it)

These are very very bad. Post your suggestions in the comments. Also does anyone know if he already has one from college or high school like Merriman got his?

Let's see how he does, eh?

Optimistic, but he hasn’t earned a nickname.

Which part of his name do you have trouble pronouncing?

‘Ryan’ or ‘Mathews’?

Crabby? Nah. I just don't think he's earned it or needs it... yet.

And when he does earn it, we’ll have a blast figuring it out then. If he doesn’t, it won’t hang around his neck. Remember “Beast Mode”?

How about...

Ryanoceros! seems to fit his running still.

by peejo on Aug 1, 2010 6:28 PM PDT up reply actions

Or just Ryan-o (rhino)

Similar to former Cub Ryne Sandberg’s nickname, but a beast RB deserves it over a second baseman.

I agree with bolthead

Lets at least wait until he abuses the Chiefs on monday night

IMO

by Foilhat on Jul 30, 2010 9:07 PM PDT reply actions

If their fans are any indication

anyone can slightly aggravate the Chiefs.

The Padres are good, but make no mistake: we've gotta beef up the linwup.

If I had a nickel from every SBN blog that has banned me, Arrowhead Pride would owe me 5¢.

Lets let the team decide

I wonder how Chris “beanie” Wells got his name or Lesean “Shady” Mccoy got his. I know they got them from school but I’m sure the team will name him something by the end of camp.

Has anyone seen a picture of this guys calves?

They are like Popeye’s forearms. We should call him “Chief Thunder Calves”

by peejo on Aug 1, 2010 6:38 PM PDT reply actions

Why would we have the the word Chief in his nickname?

by mikecheck6 on Aug 1, 2010 8:51 PM PDT up reply actions

then should it be

Lightning and thunder calves.

If I agreed with you, we would both be wrong

Anyone have a link to Practice Squad Videos???

I hear R Matt (or whatever we’re calling him) had an eye opening run on his first day…I’d like to see it and I’m sure someone has caught some practice on you tube or some other site?
