Mrs. Buck is weakening

As some of you may recall, my dear wife is a Chiefs fan. I'm attempting to talk her into attending the MNF opener at Arrowhead and seem to be making progress.

If anyone has any suggestions for good area for lodging, access to airport/stadium, restaurants, etc. I'm all ears. Don't plan to rent a car so we'll need to be somewhat centrally located. Also need tix so again - any help is appreciated.

I had high hopes that Mrs. Buck was weakening in her Chief-fandom. Then again….if she wasn’t the most bull-headed woman in the world, she wouldn’t be your soulmate.

KC game

Hey Buck, I don’t comment on here much though I think I’ve read every article written over the last year,so i feel I know you a bit.

I went to KC last year for a game against the Giants as part of a double header (saw Greenbay/Minnesota the next day). Arrowhead was a fantastic place to Tailgate and a great place to watch a game. Personally I’d recommend renting a car as the stadium felt a bit isolated, tailgating is better with one and it really opens up your hotel options. As an out of towner with just a paper map and a bunch of drunk friends hollering directions I found KC very easy to navigate and we got a cheap room at Harrah’s for a lot less then any hotel close to the stadium.

That being said I was their once and had my head in the sauce for most of the trip so I may not be the best source.

It’s still kinda up in the air. We just got a new puppy last week & can’t board him until his shot sequence is completed, which isn’t until after that game. So ….. we’ll see. Still scheming. :-)
