Favorite/Least Favorite Current Charger?
Just wanted to hear who your favorite current Charger player is and your least likely, if you want.
I love Rivers but I'm going to choose somebody else just because that is too easy.
My favorite player:
Nick Hardwick. Yeah hes had injury concerns but I just love the way this guy approaches the game. Hes not the biggest center but he uses his college wrestling skills to dominate the man in front of him. Also, if you have ever heard him in an interview he seems like an extremely cool guy, just like a normal person who happens to play football. He seems like the type of guy I would love to go to a bar and have a beer with.
My least favorite:
I could really only think of one player I dont like, and I would rather not mention him.
Anyways, I know this is pretty pointless but I just figured it was something to help pass the time until pre-season.

Sproles, Merriman.
Vincent Jackson is angling for the latter spot, though. Whitehurst had it locked down until he was traded.
Oh, you are so banned.

It’s much too easy to say Rivers as a fav, cause who doesn’t love the elite QB?
I’m going to try and stay away from the other big names as well. Sooo….
I’m starting to become a big Weddle fan for some reason, I love how physical he is and he seems to be in the mix more and more. Solid and becoming better every year.
Least fav used to be Jammer a few years ago (when he was a pass interception machine), however, I must admit the error of my ways, and my new black sheep is easily Hester. I think he’s useless on offense and everything he can do Tolbert (IMO) can do better. Keep him on ST cause that’s all he is.
Pass interception machine?
I assume you mean “pass interference machine”?

Sproles.
The guy throws his weight around like he was 7 foot and being 5’4, I respect a guy who is ‘under-sized’ and can block a linebacker so convincingly, not to mention is KR, PR and overall running ability, he’s won me many a game in the late Madden days. As for one I don’t like, I can’t think of one. I can think of a few selfish ones, but other than that, there’s none.
"Never give up, even in defeat." I go for both the Bolts and the Vikings, so I guess you could call me Thor.
After looking over the roster
my new favorite player is Ernest Smith because we share the same birthday(He’s 2 years younger). Out of the 81 players on the roster right now, only three have birthdays in March; Ernest Smith, Paul Oliver and Nate Kaeding.
Serious answers would be:
Favorite: Gates, he’s just so smooth, I love watching him play.
Least Favorite: I like all the guys on the team now that Cro is gone.
Gates / Tie between VJ - MM
And I’d throw Merriman on there but I really could care less about the guy anymore.
Are you guys kiding me..
Im drinking the kool-aid and jumping on the matthews bandwagon….that i just might have started…
Weddle
I loved the pick and have a soft spot for the safety position.
The only player I really don’t like would have been Cro. There are a few guys I don’t like having on the field, but that’s bound to happen. Merriman is annoying, but could redeem himself this season.
Favorite- David Binn, because the guy got Pam Anderson
Least favorite- David Binn, because the guy got Pam Anderson.
Oh internet, what a wicked web you weave.

Favorite: tie between Shaun Phillips and Nick Hardwick
Least favorite: I have minor dislikings about a couple different guys (CBD for being hurt all the time, Shawne Merriman and VJ for being toolsheds a lot of the time, Philip Rivers for not being Drew Brees, Jerome Clary because no matter how rational I think about it him at RT makes me uncomfortable, David Binn for what Mad_Villain said), but I don’t want to call someone out as my least favorite. I think Whitehurst was it before he left. Slacker.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.
Bolts from the Blue - General Manager: It is what it isn't
Favorite: Malcolm Floyd; Dislike: Vincent Jackson
(I still want to answer DONNIE EDWARDS as my favorite, but sadly the years have passed by now.)
Floyd is very dynamic and is a treat to watch. He’s a very good #2, IMO. And as for Jackson….technically he’s a “current Charger” but he probably won’t play another down with us again. I think if we gave him what he want we’d be overpaying. He’s good, but there are better receivers out there (and these would merit that sort of money). But I just don’t like his demeanor that much….if he played he could help out the team a lot, even though he might not be helping out himself as much. That says a lot.
Favorites= Gates; Least favorite= Jyles Tucker
He hasn’t done anything useful since he sacked Shamu “Purple Drank” Russell 3 times in ’07. Complete waste of money that could be spent on productive players.

DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK. Cry of the Purple Drank.
"Never give up, even in defeat." I go for both the Bolts and the Vikings, so I guess you could call me Thor.
Favorite = Philip Rivers obvious choice here. He has shown time and time again that he’s the real deal.
Least= Nate Kaeding i’m still butt hurt because of what happened last Jan. Cro was up there but since he’s a goner its still Nate "choke on his own spit " Kaeding.
I take exception to your nickname for Kaeding
Choking on one’s spit is understandable, and something of a physical likelihood in some circumstances. What Kaeding does come playoff time is purely mental and defies all logic.

Tuff
I like a lot of players, my fav 3 have to be: Weddle, Gates and Jammer, he is just solid low key and has work ethic.
Least fav: I don’t dislike anybody (there was Cro but he left thankfully) Jerome makes mi uncomfortable, and Hester was a complete waste of a draft pick
Fav is CURTIS BRINKLEY
Yeah thats right!
Any guy who took a bullet and still remains on the roster must be worth being on the team as a undrafted free agent.
For those of you who think Hester (least fav) was a waste, give this man a chance.
Favorite: Dielman / Gates
I better not mention my least favorite, as it may cause me to be suspended under the new site rules.
i love Dielman too
and yeah i think we have the same player we dislike… he does have impressive birthday cakes, ill give him that ha.

I wish I could answer the second part of this question.
Favorite is either PR or Hardwick.

Merriman & Merriman
I like Shawn’s hard work history before coming into the league.
But if he shows up with a Mohawk or blue hair this year, I am putting him on the list.
LIKE: Players that fly in under the radar and overachieve, particularly UDFAs (Tolbert, et al)
DISLIKE: Players that overvalue themselves, hold out for better contracts, drive drunk, get their licenses suspended, insist on driving anyways, and kick challenge flags during playoff games.

I could really only think of one player I dont like, and I would rather not mention him.
It’s CBD isn’t it?
My favorite is Antonio Gates.
I would have to say my least favorite would be Jacob Hester. Hester does well on STs and is an OK FB, but I just wish he could bring a little more to the table as a RB.
Please don't read my signature.
no i have nothing against buster
i think hes just been unlucky.

Favorite is Jammer, Hardwick, Floyd, Vaughn martin, least favorite shaun phillips, his attitude is so much worse than merriman’s, he’s cocky and says the lamest things every time he’s being interviewed.
SP = theworst,
Come on its not SP right?
Its the birthday cakes.

Vaughn Martin
could there be any doubt.
How do I break it to the cat that since he has been declawed, the rabbit he sees in our backyard would kick his sorry butt?
