Serious Business: 6/7 Chargers Links
First-round draft pick strives for happiness - Rick Armstrong
He's drawn mixed reviews on his rookie season but Larry English is looking forward to his second year.
Ranking the D-linemen in the AFC West - AFC West Blog - ESPN
2. Luis Castillo, San Diego: Castillo is a nice player. But he probably should be the second-best defensive lineman in a division. He’s solid, not great.
4. Jacques Cesaire, San Diego: A solid journeyman. He should be lower on this list next year if other players develop as expected.
11. Vaughn Martin, San Diego: The second-year player is an interesting prospect. He is very raw, but talented.
12. Cam Thomas, San Diego: I like this fifth-round steal. Expect him to get a chance to replace Williams right away.
Floyd ends sit-out, joins Chargers coaching sessions - Kevin Acee
Sources familiar with the thinking of McNeill and Jackson indicate the two are prepared to stay away for awhile, perhaps into the season.

Of the four...
The only one I see realistically sitting out is VJ. We’re going to sign McNeil, there’s no way AJ would be ok with anyone else guarding Philip. Floyd is back in. And Merriman knows that he has to play this year to get a big contract.
AJ really likes VJ supposedly, so I hope something gets worked out.
"I sawed a woman in the park today"
Not bad grammar. Just recollections of a deranged killer.
It seems like it would be stupid for VJ to sit out.

his agent has a history of holding out though..
Roddy White last year..
and yes A.J. really loved Jackson but.. like a week before the Pittsburgh game in 2009, AJ said how impressed and proud he was of Vincent even though he didnt have any catches(against the cols in the playoffs) and then a few days later Vincent got a DUI and humiliated him and the organization and that must have pissed off AJ especially after he just spoke so highly of him.
I wouldn’t be surprised if AJ is still pissed and plays hard ball..

The fact that Jamal Cesaire is #4 on anything
Says a lot about his competition.
LOL AFC West. I mean each team should have at least 3 starting DLs. That should mean that a middling journeyman like Cesaire would be 9th, 10th in his division. But, no, he’s fourth. LOLLERCOASTER.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.
Bolts from the Blue - General Manager: It is what it isn't
taking anything Williamson says seriously
is always a risky proposition. I used to lament the fact that the AFC West had the worst (by a longshot) ESPN NFL blogger, but given the state of the division the past few years I guess he fits right in. Given his size, he should probably crack the top ten in his own list!
Jacques may be the 4th best, which as you said says much more about the division than about Cesaire.
I was thinking the same thing
when I read the Williamson blog post. Pretty sad drop-off after Seymour (perhaps including Seymour). One could argue the ranking, but it isn’t that far off.
When does Ryon Bingham get is props?!?
From what I’ve heard about the play of Tyson Jackson,
missing an entire year to injury should get him more respect than
what Jackson has shown as a 3rd overall pick.
