Chargers Sign Rookie SS Darrell Stuckey
From ProFootballTalk:
The man San Diego drafted to replace Kevin Ellison at strong safety has signed his rookie deal.
Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that Darrell Stuckey agreed to terms with the Chargers. With Ellison now off the team, Stuckey shouldn't have difficulty earning a starting job as a rookie.
A Kansas product, Stuckey made his mark as a wrap-up tackler that provides solid coverage skills.
Now that Ellison has been released, it made sense for both the team and the player to get this done. Stuckey's the best option to take Ellison's spot, and both he and the Chargers' front office want him to have the best opportunity to be the week 1 starter.
Can't wait to see what the dollar amount is on this one.

Do you think the rookie contracts
negate the statements by the FO about the uncertainty of next year when they talk about extensions for VJ and MM?

I don't think so.

Scroll down to those numbers given by ReeceOliver
Those salaries are minuscule compared to what VJ and MM want.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

TE Dedrick Epps signed too
But he’s already 4th on the depth chart, and they’re only going to keep 3 TEs, so…….

so hes basically a practice squader, unless Wilson or McMichael get hurt

I mean, I guess he could outplay McMichael….
