Breaking down the undrafted free agents - Bill Williamson
Fresno State WR Seyi Ajirotutu: Ajirotutu needs to sharpen his route running and he did not run as well as expected at the combine. On the other hand, he is a competitor who appears faster on film than he does on the track and he shows good body control when competing for balls downfield.
Team-by-team NFL offseason grades - Lee Hamilton
San Diego — Hit the jackpot by trading up to get who they hope is the next LaDainian Tomlinson in RB Ryan Mathews. But hey failed to capitalize on other immediate needs in the deepest draft in two decades. NT Cam Thomas tumbled down the board and could be a gem, The Chargers got lucky despite bypassing bigger names, overpaying in trades and ignoring quality free agents. Th team let several big names depart, including Tomlinson, Antonio Cromartie and Kassim Osgood. Grade (B)

that was horrible
I’ve never read one of his articles before and I keep hearing guys bash on him. I read the article and am concerned that he never graduated from school. There were spelling and grammatical mistakes throughout the entire column! Worst read ever!

It's one thing to miss subtle spelling/grammar errors
but a lot of those he should have caught himself. makes me think that he didn’t proof read it himself… If the author isn’t willing to read their own writing twice, why should I read it once.
Then again, this is the brave new world we are in. Everyone is multi-media, everyone is an journalist/columnist, and no one is an editor. Lots of data out there, but it’s all a little sloppy…

ditto
Even if he doesn’t read it, run a spell check program. How hard could that be?
Hacksaw is exactly that. A hack.
I thought it was awesome in its own terrible way.

Advice for Ryan Mathews. For the next 8 years please stay clear of your beloved dirt bikes. ( Remember Ben Rothlesberger. )

I've seen the whole "Neal loves Mathews" thing a number of places
Breaking News: Fresno State alum really likes a player from his alma mater.
I’m sure Neal is trying to be an impartial observer, but it’s very easy to assume that he’s biased. I don’t get why that quote/thought/remark whatever is being thrown around so much, when it so easily can be just construed as homerism.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

maybe
but I liked the Acee article. I am looking forward to seeing Mathews in action.
How do I break it to the cat that since he has been declawed, the rabbit he sees in our backyard would kick his sorry butt?

It’s worth noting that his homerism outweighs his dislike of A.J. Smith.

It's also interesting
because last year he pretty much blamed everything on Turner and the line. Now he’s saying Matthews will be awesome. Interesting contradiction.

I'm just saying
That it might be just a case of homerism. I once asked a Minnesotan who had better oceans, California or Minnesota, and he said Minnesota. I said, they have no oceans. He said, I know.
