Question...

Does anyone know (if this goes to vote & passes) how the taxpayers will fund this? Will it be in property taxes or sales tax or both???

My guess is that it will only be the city of San Diego & not the county just like with Petco, but i can’t remember how the taxpayers funded Petco.

Supposedly, it will be paid with bonds borrowed against the property taxes of the stadium site.

With Petco they used bonds borrowed against a hotel tax.

No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

None of that was a reference to the Q.

The Q became the Q because of a generous donation by Qualcomm. No public money.

Sorry, I guess I was wondering what "stadium site"

New/Proposed or the Q…
Since I had read something regarding the selloff of the land after the proposed stadium site is developed, to be a possible way to recoup some of the money for the development of the new stadium.

From Yesterday's Release:

“Public funding is often provided through hotel, rental car and/or sales taxes.”

Source: Evolution Media Capital, NFL Stadium Financing Background, January 2010 (Presentation to Centre City Development Corporation).

So who knows… I just hope it doesn’t include property tax or sales tax. That’s the one case that I’d vote it down. I forgot where I read it, but I think SD is on the low end as far as touristy cities when it comes to hotel and rental car taxes.

I'm not in the city limits so i really don't have a say,

but hotel, rental car & sale tax seems likea good deal to me… seems like the most of it is gained from out of towners… I personally do most of my spending in mission valley, we buy our vehicles in PB…
If you live in the city limits & you spend a ton of money, I can see beening against it…

I'm in the city

so I’m all for taxing everybody else but me!

I have always liked Stadiums that are a part of the downtown skyline.

Hopefully this gets built.
