Proves my theory...

that even though Merriman dreams of being a superstar, he’s one of the most rational guys on the team. Not somebody who is led to do something he doesn’t want to, by his management or otherwise.

Too bad AJ doesn’t see it that way.

Curtis Brinkley?

So in the article about the oustanding showing of veterans for the off-season workout they mention that Curtis Brinkley was there working out. If you don’t remember he was a RB for Syracuse and was signed by the Chargers last year after he didn’t get drafted. He got shot in Phillie while going to pick up his sister.

Does anyone know much about him? Is he any good? I had completely forgotten about him. Does he bring anything to the RB situation or will he always be a back-up? Any thoughts on this?

Small sample-size

Didn’t start until his senior season, and is a little light at 5’9" 200lbs. He was not invited to the combine, but ran 4.48 on his own….which is slower than you’d like for his size.

I think he’ll always be a backup.
