Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Running back LaDainian Tomlinson will visit with the Vikings on Thursday, a league source said.

Minnesota is seeking to replace Chester Taylor, an eight-year veteran who signed a free-agent deal with the Bears on Friday. The Vikings have Pro Bowl starting running back Adrian Peterson, but are looking for a capable complement, particularly in passing situations.

And if Favre decides to return...

Minnesota will be a like a nursing home.

Favre and LT

would obviously get first dibs for those icepacks

I know being 30 is like being 50 in NFL years....

But thinking of LT as a player in a nursing home, while he is only 30, is just plain weird.

ESPN Reporting-Marshawn Lynch to SD (Rumor0

Marshawn Lynch for a 4th round pick is whats starting to heat up on the rumor mill. I wouldnt mind it if the guy can stay clean and good. Hopefully he and VJ stay out of trouble and Merriman too.
Good workhorse back!

For a 4th round pick

That’s decent value.

It just seems odd for the team to be working so hard to trade away a headache (Cromartie) and then turn around and bring another one in (Lynch).

No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong.

Maybe it isn't so much about the headache?

and instead, about apparent needs.

Oh internet, what a wicked web you weave.

I'm not sure how reliable those ESPN rumors are.

PFT doesn’t have anything on it, and they’re usually rumor central.

He has baggage

but for a fourth round pick I think it is well worth the risk. He is still young and has proven in the past that he can play. I would love to see this trade happen.

I agree

The baggage is of minimal risk with a 4th. It just strikes me as an odd move given the Cromartie thing.

Baggage

It usually means doing stupid things with the people that you hang out with. I doubt that someone moving cross country would bring his idiot friends along. It would probably take him a year or two to get more idiots to do hang out with in SD. By then, we should have a replacement rb and can cut him.

If I agreed with you, we would both be wrong

Well

If he meets friend like he fornicates with women…

touche

I guess meeting new friends is probably pretty easy when you are rich and famous. Even easier if the new friend target is a lady

Good value indeed

Especially if any of our RFA’s net us comp picks

It's now being reported

That if LT doesn’t sign with Minnesota, he has a meeting with the Jets on Friday.

by creanium on Mar 11, 2010 9:34 AM PST reply actions

why would the jets pick him up?

if they just let go of another old guy who’s more productive

Don't know

But he got on a flight to New York to meet with them. The word on the street is he met with the Vikings, he’s on his way to see the Jets, then it’s off to Philly and finally New Orleans before he makes a decision.
