Pro Bowl? More Like Flag Football!
Seriously, I truly felt that I was watching a flag football game! Did anyone else see this but me? No wonder for the last 50 years the ratings and attendance suck because you're watching a cake walk. They should just have nominations then selections and no game because they obviously don't show up to play. Yup, it all comes down to money. WWE wrestling matches are far more entertaining because they at least fake it well! What's your opinion?

I actually watched the Pro Bowl this year
for the second time ever and the first in about 15 years. I didn’t mind it too much, but I didn’t go in with real high expectations. I wanted to see some plays and some players. I think they did a pretty good job with it. It will never go away because it is another game the NFL can sell to the networks. At the same time, it will never be real football because it is just an exhibition game with nothing on the line. But I did kind of enjoy it. I liked how they had a lot of the players and coaches miked up.
I don’t really get the outrage. Just lower you expectations to “backyard football game” levels and you’ll enjoy the game. What else are you going to do? Watch basketball???

Watching My First Pro Bowl
I guess I expected more! That was my first Pro Bowl I ever watched. Normally, every season has ended with a let down so there was no need to watch anymore football. I guess I feel better knowing i watched it on TV versus buying a ticket to the game.

I think one thing that helped this one out
Is having all the Super Bowl players there and not playing. It was like an extra media day. They could interview them between plays and at halftime. Not terribly exciting, but that’s the sort of stuff people tune in for on the week leading up to the Super Bowl anyway. The only problem with it is that it takes away time from replays and in a game where my attention wanders and then all of a sudden VJ or Gates makes a play I end up missing it. But, I guess that’s what DVRs/Tivo is for.
I'm the first person to admit that I'm wrong about a lot of things, but I'm going to be the last person to admit I'm wrong about what we're currently talking about.

Here's an idea
Name your Pro Bowl Rosters, but instead of a game…
Have them compete in skills competition like FG distance, accuracy, coffin kicks, qb distance and accuracy, linemen pushing sleds, RB cone drills, WR catches from QBs spread out all over field while running, etc
The torch has been passed, and Henne has added fuel to the fire!
They do that already.
