Postmortem Bolts Haiku

Updated 12/31, 12:40pm. Please re-read, as I've changed the order and appended a few.

Feel free to add your own, if you feel poetic or think it cathartic.

Fairweather lightning!

Bright flashes under blue skies,

washed out in the storm.

December's bloom wilts

Nothing ever guaranteed

No more slow starts, please.

We now cannot laugh

at the Raiders anymore

A bitter spring waits.

The song of our fathers

We had forgotten the words:

"There's always next year!"

Norv learns, Rivers flows

AJ always has a plan

There's always next year.

We weren't all that bad

But the wind blew us away

There's always next year.

How long do we have

Before our green grass dries up

And is blown away?

The north hills beckon

Threaten to seal our great curse

The Land of No Rings.

Is there a next year?

The winds of strike concerns

Blow through our window.

A drought in the desert

Badlands, a lightning-struck horse

Cannot long survive.

Our only real hope

The Vikings know: sent rolling,

Stones gather no snow.
