Long time reader - First time Poster (yep, that sounds as lame as I thought it would)
Ok folks so it's Bye Week and I figure you might be bored enough to read this post (or else nobody comes to the site for a week) so here goes.
long -suffering faithful Chargers fan I'm here to add to the world wide fan base and help you survive the agony and ecstacy that is a Chargers football season.
Yes, I hail from the Land Down Under, the Sunburnt Country, the Great Southern Land that is Oz. There are no kangaroos hopping down the main street or Aborigines throwing boomerangs at us - we have civilization!
DID YOU KNOW ? - That Perth, Western Australia, (where I humbly abode) is actually a sister city to San Diego? Don't ask me why - it just IS. I looked it up. Maybe because we are both (relatively) isolated, on the west coast, perenially sunny, or maybe somebody sent the wrong fax, I don't know.
Anyway, it's good enough for me to have been a Bolts fan for some years now. I know of the traditional sloth-like start, the rollercoaster gathering speed to January - and the plummet over the cliff that is Playoff Week 1.
I know of the AJ ego, the fans who want to strap Norv to a mysterious Californian rocket, the ST comedy show and the tearful glorious offensive renderings of one PR17.
I even know about DVOA (sorta) and DYAR (little help). Ok, so I'm a junior student. Please, no wedgies.
We get 3 live games here a week, a CBS Sunday double and MNF on free to air TV, some random others on Pay TV. Does it matter that I watch them at 4 in the morning? Hell no. Does it matter that we've had too many Cowboys games this season? Hell YES.
Can my widescreen survive another battering of thrown objects as it did during the Bizarro World meltdown against the Pats? It will just have to.
So... if you see me around, say G'day. I'm on your side.
